The SRE (Site Reliability Engineering) team is establishing a monitoring solution that we call the Canada Business Health Dashboard. The Health Dashboard will provide real time visibility into our operational availability to different stakeholders: product owners, engineers, tech leadership, and senior executives. The information is structured hierarchically and the dashboard will provide effective visualizations of the status quo to effectively communicate the scope of the availability, reliability and outage to the relevant stakeholders. As a Site Reliability Engineer you will join a team of senior tech engineers to develop and set up a Health Dashboard, help to implement additional data source components and visualizations. The team leverages open source solutions such as Grafana and AWS CloudWatch Observability solutions. It is a 4 month term position.

What you’ll be doing as a Site Reliability Engineer:

• Work as part of a dynamic team throughout the software development life cycle

• Collaborate with designers and analysts to implement enhancements or new applications

• Develop code to meet story acceptance criteria

• Conduct design and code review to ensure high-level quality output

• Ensure adherence to continuous improvement practices as required to meet quality and time to market imperatives

• Maintain records to document program development and revisions

• Provide third-level support of software solution as needed

Basic qualifications:

• Will obtain or have obtained a Bachelor’s degree or higher between 2023-2025

• Good communication, presentation and writing skills

Preferred qualifications:

• Full Stack Experience in front end development in tools such as Java, Javascript, HTML and backend technologies such as Node

• D3.js and other JS visualization components

• Experience working with Open Source Monitoring Solutions such as ELK Stack/Kibana and Grafana

• Experience with AWS Cloud technologies including serverless development using AWS Lambda, API Gateway, Cloud Watch, AWS X-Ray, and AWS Insights

• Experience with querying and populating Data into Cloud Data Solutions such as Snowflake
